Three Tips To Maintain Your Holiday Health
One of the most important things for you to do is to have a plan of attack for maintaining your health during the Holidays. When we are not healthy during the holidays we start the new year at a health disadvantage so here are 3 tips to help with your Holiday Health.
Apple Hemp Crumble!
Don’t let your health crumble, make this for you and your guests and give the gift of better nutrition.
Hemp crumble topping
-1/2 cup cashews
-1/2 cup Manitoba Harvest hemp seeds
-3 dried figs
Diced apple filling
-4 apples, peeled and diced
-1 tbsp lemon juice
-2 apples, peeled and diced
-2 tbsp lemon juice
-5 dried figs
-1/4 tsp cinnamon
1. To make the crumble topping: Blend the cashews, hemp seeds and figs in a food processor. Spoon into a small bowl and set aside
2. To make the apple filling: Toss the 4 peeled, diced apples with 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Set aside in small bowl.
3. To make the apple sauce: Blend the 2 apples, 2 tbsp lemon juice, cinnamon and figs into a food processor. Toss this mixture with the sliced apples and spoon into a dessert dish.
4. Sprinkle hemp crumble topping and bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees (or under crumble is golden brown). Serve
